Losing a companion is a real and tender kind of grief.
When a beloved animal dies, the quiet that follows can feel immense. I'm Elisabeth, and I offer a calm, unhurried space to grieve, with gentle support to help you find your way through in your own time.
You're not alone in this
Your grief belongs here.
The bond with an animal is one of the purest we ever know, so the loss of it deserves to be taken seriously. There's no timeline to keep to, and nothing about your grief that's too small or too much. Whatever you're feeling is welcome here.
About Elisabeth
A warm, knowledgeable companion through pet loss.
I hold an advanced diploma in pet bereavement counselling, and I've made it my work to sit alongside people in one of the loneliest kinds of grief: the loss of an animal who was family.
So much of pet loss goes unspoken. People are told it was "just a pet," or to move on before they're ready. I offer the opposite: a space where your companion matters, your grief is honoured, and you never have to explain why it hurts this much.
My approach is gentle and led by you. There's no pressure and no clock ticking, just steady, compassionate support for as long as you need it.
How I can help
Gentle support, offered online.
Sessions take place online by video or phone, so you can be somewhere that feels safe and comfortable, wherever you are in the world.
One-to-one sessions
A quiet, private space to talk through your loss, your memories, and whatever you're carrying, at a pace that's right for you.
Anticipatory grief
Support through the agonising in-between of a terminal diagnosis or a looming decision, so you don't have to face it on your own.
Honouring the bond
Gentle ways to remember and honour your companion, and to carry the love forward as you slowly find your footing again.
What to expect
Reaching out is a small, gentle step.
You don't need the right words, and you don't need to be "ready." If you're here, that's enough.
You reach out
Send a short message using the form below, as much or as little as you'd like to share. There's no obligation in it.
We find a time
I'll reply warmly and we'll arrange a first online session at a time that suits you, with no pressure either way.
We sit with it, together
We go at your pace. You lead, I listen, and we find a way through the grief gently, one step at a time.
"Grief is love with nowhere to go. Here, it has somewhere to rest, and in time, somewhere gentler to grow."
